YOU’RE SELLING A LIFESTYLE, NOT A PRODUCT

Running a successful business means selling every day. There’s no doubt about that. But HOW are you selling? How are you promoting your product/service? How are you convincing your followers that they need what you’re selling?

SHOW DON’T TELL

Remember in english class when your teacher would circle all the places in your paper where you were over explaining and say “SHOW DON’T TELL”.

You don’t want to be told “Jim and Pam fell in love over the course of many years of working together.” IS ANYTHING MORE BORING THAN THAT SENTENCE. You want to be shown how Jim and Pam fell in love. You want to SEE it. You want to FEEL that story.

The same exact thing applies to your business! Sure, there is a big part of telling in a business. You have to explain to your customers what you are selling and tell them how it will benefit them, but the most important part is consistently showing up using the products you are selling or implementing the services you have for hire in your own business. That builds trust. That turns their “want” into a “need”. You MUST show them how much it’s benefitting you.

YOU HAVE TO 100% BELIEVE IN WHAT YOU SELL

If you don’t want to use the product you are selling, than why the eff would your customer want it?

If you don’t believe the service you are selling will greatly impact your client’s life, that why the eff would they invest in you?

Incorporate your products into your daily lifestyle. Snap a selfie of you wearing them out to dinner. Show yourself doing your daily cleansing ritual. Whatever it is that you preach, SHOW THAT.

IT’S ALSO ABOUT SHOWING THE LIFESTYLE YOUR CUSTOMERS CRAVE

Do you know you target customer? It’s crucial you do. And it’s crucial you know what type of a lifestyle she craves because it is your job to show up and inspire her with that lifestyle.

It could be the life of a relaxed mom who has fun with her kids while looking cute.

It could be the life of a girl boss traveling all over the world.

It could be netflix and chilling with your laptop creating blog posts.

It could be working out every day, twice a day.

See how different all of those examples are?! Just because you want a certain lifestyle, doesn’t mean they do. Get clear on what they crave and show up living that life.

If you’ve authentically attracted your dream tribe tho, that lifestyle should feel pretty similar to your dream lifestyle.
